Hi, I'm 22 and I had my Tonsils out 11 days ago. Worst pain I've ever had but each day is getting better. I don't know if anyone can help me but my doctor didnt give me any post answers... for example : when can i have soft drinks? I heard the carbonation is bad after surgery but when is it okay? when can i have wine? I normally have a half glass once a week for my heart. When can i use mouth wash...?? Just simple things werent explained. does anyone know from experience???? Thanks :)

Hey,

My doctor told me, that my son could have soda after his scabs come off. I am not sure about wine or mouthwash, but I would think that would hold true as long as you are not taking any medication that would react with alcoholic beverages.

You can call your ENT's office and speak with a nurse, they would have acces to all that information and gladly share it with you. I got a lot of questions answered this way. I am glad that you have had a good recovery experience. I got a lot of questions answered this way.

Sincerely,
MG
