I am scheduled to have surgery threw my back to remove two large kidney stones that are lodged in my Uterer (SP). Originally the dr.s wanted to remove part of my kidney becuase it has an abcess and the lower portion isn't functioning anymore. I opted out of that and the dr. agred to take it one step at a time. If, after removing the stones, my fevers go away and my kidney drains properly then my troubles are over.

My question is: Has anyone had this surgery before for stone removale? The dr. told me three days in the hospital. What is the recovery like? How long after you got home were you able to get around the house? Will I need help home? Anyones stories would be greatly appreciated.:wave:

I have never had a surgery like that although I have heard of them often. I just wanted to say I will keep you in my prayers.
