I Believe Magnesium Citrate Is Best, As Is Calcium Citrate. Check With Your Nutritionist.

Both calcium and magnesium are best absorbed in an acidic environment. So your best bet is the citrate version of both. They're also the most gentle on the stomach, while calcium carbonate and magnesium oxalate are the least gentle.... and incidentally, they are also both the cheapest.

My mother had problems with magnesium. Dr. Mildred Seelig (who was the world's leading magnesium specialist) suggested she use MagOx. It is available behind the prescription counter; however, it is not prescription. It has the most elemental magnesium per dose. It also disolves very quickly. (mother said to swallow quickly!). She has done very well on it. You have to be very careful with most magnesium supplements because their elemental magnesium is low.
