I'm not too sure if this falls under "dry eyes", so I apologize if this is frequently asked.

The skin on the outer side of one of my eyes is red (I've noticed that the eye itself is red in that area as well when I pull away my eyelids). It's the skin area where the two eyelids end (away from the nose), and there is some discomfort. I've noticed that my vision gets a little blurry when I try closing that eye for a while with a contact in.

What causes these symptoms, and what's a remedy for it?
