I keep getting different answers to this. Do people get HIV from making out? I just want to know once and for all. I know some people say "yeah there is a chance"--but is it really a risk? Im sorry for being annoying I just want someone who knows what they are talking about to once and for all spell it out for me. Thanks in advance!

If by "making out" you mean kissing, petting, fingering, then no, these are not activities that are considered risky.(Even if your partner is HIV+, this is considered 'no risk'.) During these activies, there is no sharing of bodily fluids (HIV does not successful exist in saliva secondary to the gastric enzymes) and, in order to contract HIV bodily fluids needs to be shared. It is consistent with the 'handshaking, hugging, and sharing cooking utensils.chris

dear need answers: 'scuse me. There was a time when it was people were absolutely certain that you could contract AIDS through handshaking and sharing utensil. There were times were people wanted all AIDS patients isolated and a time when politicians actually wanted to isolate all AIDS patients in a compound or camp. So, I accept your apology...
(By the way, stereotypes, whether they be racist or sexist persist and are built a failure of compassion and understanding. In the past, the word "Jew" was a single step away from the crematoriums.)
The answer your question: no, french kissing is not a mechanism for contracting HIV. chris
