I am 21. I have been bulimic now for 3 1/2 years. Before that, I was anorexic for 4 years. When I became bulimic, I used to throw up all the time and take laxatives. I have tried to get better and in doing so I have managed to not throw up as much. But I take laxatives a lot and that scares me. The only time I really ever throw up is when I get so sick from taking too many laxatives. I usually take around 20 a day. I really want to get better, but I don't know what to do. I have tried going of the laxatives before, but my bowels have not been able to function properly--Obviously--since I have abused them for so long. Is there anyone out there who has been or is going through this. I would appreciate your help.

Laxtives are dangerous as I am sure you know-I also fought with an eating disorder and the only way to really get over it is to pray a lot and get some help and support-go to your doctor and have them lead you in the right direction because right now you are down a dead end road and it's not going to be pretty at all.

sweetie i have been there to still recovering slowly but i messed up everything in my body i cant have kids i get surgery for my stomach linning every year its not worth it
i am not the one that should be telling you this cause i am in the same shoes but its better to hear someone else say they have it too.
you are not alone but those laxitives will kill you if you dont stop. get metical help and check yourself out 20 pills a day is very deadly
