take lots of pictures :)
our first halloween with children, Landen was 3 months and a puppy. we just took him to our relatives houses so they could see him and they gave him candy for mommy and daddy to eat. :)
every year since then, we have done the same.
last year we did it again, and they had a fall festival at our church where they did cake walks and different booths. landen (then 3) had a blast.
this year, i haven't even thought about it to be honest. i'm sure we will do the same thing with both our boys, Landen (4) and Brayden (14 months).
i would visit family and friends if possible and check for different things going on in your area. they are so cute at that age dressed up, just remember to snap, snap, snap. you will cherish the memories forever. and at 6 months he can enjoy a sucker with help from mom, so snap away at that too. :)
good luck and have fun.

My DS is 11 mos old and we don't have a costume picked out yet. I am in Florida and we never know what the weather will be like on Halloween. Usually it is HOT and most of the baby costumes are longsleeved or bulky, so I may just make my own! We are planning on decorating the stroller and taking him around the neighborhood and like another poster said, we will get candy for us and let our friends look at our LO! Have fun everyone!!

DS is a year old and we get to dress him up for a Halloween party at his dayhome and then in the evening we are going to take him out around town just to friends and families places. I know they have an indoor event at the mall here that may be an option if it's really cold out that night.

My ds will be 7 months by then (omg, actually 8 months the next day! AH!) and this is his first halloween. My sister and I both have babies 6 weeks apart so we decided just to dress them up (ds is going to be a monkey, my niece might be a princess, cause thats what everyone calls her) and take them to see family members.
For some reason we have a hard time find where people trick or treat around here. Hopefully we will find somewhere by the time he's old enough! Mama wants candyyy. LOL.

DS was about 4 months last year, and was a chicken, he was super cute! But it was hot so we had to get different pants, lol. We dont' live in a neighborhood so we can't do tradtional trick or treating, but we took him my Mom's, my sis's my grandmas and SIL's. He didnt' care one way or the other, lol. This year we will probably do the same, but SIL lives in a neighborhood, so we are thinking of taking him to a few houses. Just to see what he thinks of it. When my friends kids were 3 and 6 months she took them, the baby in the stroller, he thought it was neat, looking at everything.

I ordered Chloe (will be 6 months by Halloween) a witch costume and we're also getting her picture taken in it. :) We're going to carry her around and get candy for ourselves. :) HEHE.

Hmmmm...I'm not sure about the paint. It might have some coloring/dyes that could irritate a little one's skin. Maybe you could do a test on her skin early and see if it bothers her? (Just guessing) I noticed on a bottle of Johnson & Johnson Lavender bath, "not for use under 3 months of age." Otherwise that sounds so cute. :)
We plan to take our 5 month old to the neighbors houses we know and maybe to the local zoo. (They have a big children's Halloween party. No scary stuff allowed!!) She's going to be a ballerina mouse! It's so cute, this bonnet thing ties to her head with big, pink ears!!
(DH came home yesterday with a Pea Pod outfit that is adorable too. He's been so cute lately, bringing her toys and stuff and really getting "into it!!")

We're going to go to my BIL and SIL's neighborhood and go trick or treating with them and their three kids. The last two years, we've had maybe 10 kids come by on Halloween. (I don't get it - I see more kids than that out playing on a Saturday afternoon!)
And we'll eat all the candy ourselves! :D :D :D

Ava will be 13 months by then. I think my H will take her trick or treating to a few of the neighbor's. I'm dressing her up as a bumble bee. Lots of pics. I'll stay home and pass out candy. We usually have between 120-150 trick or treaters...so one of us will stay home.
