I'll be traveling with DS ( 2 1/2 months old) tomorrow for the first time and wonder if it's Ok to use bottled water to make formula? I will need to be able to carry small bottles of water, not a big gallon etc.... Any suggestions? I'm going to a funeral and I need to be as mobile as possible for when I drive out there etc.... Any suggestions? What brand water? What kind of water?

Thanks ladies! :)

hiya
if you are thinking of carting around bottled water why not just fill regular baby bottles with cooled boiled water then add the formula as the feeds are required? i do this all the time in fact i never heat up bottles when we are out ds takes them at room temperature. as you are taking sterile bottles with you having them already filled with the correct water will aslso save hassle:) hope that helps

I have used bottled water since my daughter was born 5 months ago. The brand does not make a difference.

Good ideas!!

Thanks weepy and orange! :) Going crazy here trying to pack at the last minute----Eeeek!! :) Thing is, I'm going to fly and will be asking the flight attendant for bottled water to make formula with when I'm on the plane---since I can't take water onto the plane with me!! what a hassle!! Then when i get off the plane, I will have to drive another 40 miles to get the funeral----and will need to get bottled water at the gas station just incase DS gets hungry during the drive.

Thanks again! :)

Does anyone know if they will let me take an icepack onto the plane---so I can keep the bottles cool? It's not really a liquid until it melts! LOL

What a hassle!

Playtex makes an insulated bottle so you can keep the contents warm or cool....otherwise I am unsure of the ice packs....perhaps call your airline or airport.
