I have had proteinuria for over 5 years and just had a 24 hr urine done. I am happy with an increase in meds I am down to 265mg protien in 24 hours. My GFR however has dropped to 60. They also found sporadic white blood cells throughout but Dr says I dont have an infection. I do have urinary symptoms though like urgency and increased frequency. Also been having pain in my kidneys but not too severe. I am 26 years old. What do you think these WBC's are from? i have never had them there before. I had a renal u/s done about a year and a half ago and everthing was fine. What are the chances of developing cysts in that amount of time or should they have seen them if i was going to get them. I really want to know whats going on in there but i have an appt with my nephrologist next month but I am curious if anyone has been here and may know what could be happening. Thanks :)

Actually they are not sure yet. My nephrologist didnt want to take a biopsy when I saw her last about 1.5 years ago but now with the testing done by my pcp I am seeing the nephrologist in Oct for a biopsy if she feels its the right time. I feel like they dont listen to me though. The Neph is trying to say the the disease is blood pressure and pregnancy related from when I had toxemia 4 years ago. However I have told her over and over that I was spilling protien b4 that because i was trying to donate blood and turned away many times from high protien in urine and did not have high bp until about 2 years ago. I am not real sure about much right now but I know I havve alot more ?'s for her now.
