Help......I have gone through menopause. However I have been having rough time with heat problem. I awaken during the night feeling very warm but not sweating. This occurs also during the daytime. Along with this "hotness" comes elevated blood pressure and sometimes a fast heart and nervousness. Can anyone identify with this problem>

I am 4 years post and still experience this sensation. It is not as often as in the past but it is still there. I get these when I am most anxious about something ( which is almost all the time).

I have heard/read that this can go on for up to 10 years post. A few women have them their entire lives.

These are hot flashes or power surges as some would say and they are normal.

:blob_fire I have been going through this thing called Menopause for six years,i have only had two periods during this time,so im not exactly sure at which point i would be considered "post",but i didnt have any symptoms and thought this was really great, until this summer.I started having hot flashes, not knowing much about them, because i figured i was going to ease through menopause with NO symptoms,i really didnt know what to expect.Somedays i couldnt even move without a new one beginning. My doctor said they can last, off and on for 10 years.I have started on Black Cohosh and they have disappeared, however,im hearing bad things about that too.I think its very normal and everyones symptoms are different.:blob_fire
