I have not done any intercourse or penetration with opposite sex. But has some huggings/kissings with prostitutes.

Fifteen days back I suffered with cold and slight fever with some flu. I took general medicine like crocin and anti flu tablet.It got settled and now I am perfectly ok.I am feeling hungry and there is no pains in my body parts. But I got one pimple like on my right neck and one very small pimple on my left armpit. Are these the symptoms of HIV virus.Please inform what to do now?. I am in great stress.

Dear KVK: this is silly. In order for the HIV virus to spread you have to share it with someone. Since you did not have unprotected sex, there is no sharing of bodily fluides. Hence, no HIV. Stay healthy. chris

But tell me why these symptoms of HIV infection were shown in my case. I had not done any penetration or unproteched sex with the prostitute. She has done only Handjob that too after I was wearing perfect condom. I was just kissing her checks and some parts of her body but there was no touching of any type of vaginal fluids. Are there any chance of getting infected with HIV virus in my case. Please clarify, I am in great tension because of the symptons which I was having from last couple of days.

OK, one more time: HIV "symptoms" are not used to diagnose HIV because the so-called symtoms mimic many other illnesses from cancer to the common cold. (NO! I don't think you have cancer!)(HIV can only be determined through testing,OK?) It is possible, therefore, to have swollen lymph nodes (if that is, in fact, what they are) that may be related to a cold, an infected sore, whatever and it not be HIV.

You stated yourself that you did not have vaginal or anal intercourse. The only way for HIV to enter your body is for bodily fluids to be exchanged (and, of course, the partner be HIV+). No sharing of fluids; no HIV. You said the prostitute gave you a hand job and you were wearing a "perfect condom" (what is that, by the way?) therefore, do you see the reasoning that since neither of you shared bodily fluids, the virus could not be passed on? chris
