Hi Ladies...
I was just wondering what the other TTC couples do after BD-ing.. what I mean is, do you stay laying down? do you prop pillows under your toosh for a better angle? do you do a head stand (lol, jk). How long do you try & keep the semen inside you before you let it trickle out (sorry that sounded yucky!) but I'm really curious what other couples do?

Well, truthfully, I first of all read that positions are important (no matter what they say...) Missionary and Rear entry are the best, b/c they are supposed to keep the semen in longer. Whereas if it is female on top, the semen can "suction" out when you dismount (tmi, sorry). I also lay flat on my back for at least 10 minutes. Some say 5, some 30...but when I got pregnant with my daughter, I did all of this and it work first try. No luck this time, but I figure it will work again sometime! LOL! I haven't tried putting a cushion under me, but alot of people suggest it. Dunno. Maybe that will be this months trick! :p

If you prop your bum up too high the semen will actually pool up behind your cervix -- not a good thing. My midwife suggested laying flat for at least 15 minutes after BDing.

I am with goldenmom my midwife told me the pillow thing is a bad idea and just to lay in bed as long as you feel comfortable. 10 minutes or more. I find the best time to bd is when we have the time to lay together and cuddle afterwards and watch some tv. Unlike Willy we have a Tv in our bedroom lol. I hope that helps.
