I have a few questions. Is a basal body temp therm. different then a regular therm? How do you take the temp? Oral? Anyone who is doing this and knows exactly how it works please let me know. Also where did you buy your therm?

hi,
a basal body therm is different because it measures in more exact units like tenths so you can see the changes in temp more clearly than with a regular one.
I take my temp orally, some prefer to do it vaginally.
Im from the UK but you can get BBT therms from i think Wal greens, ive heard people in the US say. You can get them online too

Thanks for your replies ladies. I looked up the therms on ebay and they all say they are for oral, rectal, or underarm use. So is it still okay to do it vaginally with one of those?

The thermometer must be a basal thermometer. It should say basal on it. It might also say something like fertility or conception thermometer. An ordinary digital thermometer will not be accurate enough. If the thermometer you are looking at is a basal thermometer, you can use it vaginally.
