:confused: I am 50 yers odl adn my peroids have stopped for 16 months. This month I started to have pms type symptoms...bloating, breast tenderness and now i am spotting. I just went for my yearly pap, etc and everything is fine. Then this happened......
anyone else have this happen to them? What is going on with that???? I thought after one year it was all over completely. Now I am confused.

I had this happen after one year. I have read, on this board and many others, that this is quite normal. After the one period, I have not had one for 4 years.
In fact, in the Eastern culture, a woman is not considered post until 17 months have passed.
I am not a doctor but if you have all the symptoms of a period and get one I think that you are alright.

Thank you for your response. It did help alot and I feel much better knowing its no big deal. I was just surprised at it all and confused as to what was happening. Hopefully it will be the last of that.

I was over 2 years and just did the same thing.
I went for a sonogram, the results came back that my uterus lining is above normal, some thickening and a cyst on my ovary. I went for a blood test to check for ovarian cancer but haven't gotten the results yet. I am also worried about uteran cancer. They have scheduled a biopsy, but not until November.
Has anyone had this happen?
