This is my first time on this website and it reading it very imformative!
Does anyone know how to help repair really badly bitten nails? I dont mean just biting really far down, but the skin all around the nail and even the top of the nail! There are bits of the nail which show the redness of the underneath and is very painful!
Do you have any suggestions ? Also any ideas of how to stop biting nails as its a really hard habit to stop. I have never seen anything like this before and your advise would be very much appreciated.

Your nails (or lack of) sound just like my daughter's. It drives me nuts, but she bites her nails to the quick and has the redness underneath, also. I agree it must be a hard habit to stop, because I can't get her to stop no matter what I've tried. I can't even let her get tips put on her nails because she won't let the nail get long enough to apply the tips. Her doctor told me I need to pick my battles and leave her alone on the nail biting issue, but it does look so darn painful, not to mention the germs she's putting in her mouth.
