whats is the difference between dying your hair black with a box dye or buying the products and mixing them yourself? Which one is better if there is a better?:confused:

When you say "mix them yourself" do you mean like the professional stuff from Sally's? I have used the box kind from drugstores and they have worked well for me, but they fade on me when I'm dying my hair darker. My hairstylist told me most store kinds have a 20 volume and you can get 30 volume at Sally's and that they wouldn't fade as much. I'm not sure what color your hair is now, but if you want dark, lasting results, the pro products will probably work better! Just make sure you use a moisturizing color and nothing too harsh on your hair!! And deep condition :) .

I have another question I bought the professional hair dye from Sallys I bought the 20 developer and some dye now how do I mix it? I think I remember matching 2oz to 2 oz but not sure pls if any one knows pls write thanks:)
