View Full Version : Contacts with cataracts?

i haven't been back to see my eye specialist since last december to ask about this (it costs $75 every visit). i have cataracts and astigmatism and i've been wearing glasses since i was about 10 and was diagnosed with cataracts when i was 11 (i am now 20).

i'm wondering if it's okay for me to wear contacts when i have cataracts. i vaguely remember my specialist telling me something about contacts but, that was about 5-6 years ago now so, i don't remember.

thanks for any info in advance.

There's nothing specifically wrong with wearing contacs when you have cataracts. They might improve your corrected vision over glasses.

Has your vision seemed to change?
