Hello I have a few questions:) I first want to say that I was on the depo provera shots for 4 years and off of it for 4 years. But heres the thing I was told that it could take up to 8 years for it to completely get out of your body and I was wondering if there was anything you could do to make it get out faster? because I dont want to wait til im 27 to have kids im 23 now and I think it would be good if I could have them now then later and also when is the most fertile time between af's? I heard it is 12-15 days between cycles...
Also I was wondering if cysts could cause u not to get pg? I had 1 on my right ovary then it broke and I went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound and said there was another one on my left ovary but it never broke. So could that be why I am not getting pg? Well if anyone has any advice that would be great thankyou for reading this;)

Have you been to a gyn regarding the cysts?

You ovulate *generally* 14 days before your next period. If your cycles are fairly predictable, this should be fairly easy for you to figure out. You are fertile for about 5 days before the 14th day of your cycle (counting from the first day of your period). Probably if you have sex on days 9-18 you will be covered.

I do not know much about Depo. The only thing I have heard is that if you have been on it awhile, it takes about as long to conceive as the number of years you were on it. I think that it is a rumor though. My friend was on it for 6 years and conceived 2 months after stopping the shots (unplanned). Some other women on ttc boards were on Depo for years and most conceived w/in 1 year. Your fertile time is pretty much the middle of your cycle…so if you have a **fairy tale** 28 day cycle you o on day 14. Good Luck

I don't think you have to wait that long with the depo shots. The nurse that administered mine was also on it, and she said she got pregnate right after she quit the shots (within a month or 2).
