I am starting a sensible diet but the cravings are awful. Does anyone know of a good supplement that will help with the hunger pangs and give me some energy.

I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Spirulina is a natural suppressant.

For a couple of weeks I took Stacker 3's. They definitely gave me energy. When I started taking them I weighed a little under 100 pounds. I ended up losing about 7 pounds. Let me warn you though, they were addicting for me and I had a very hard time stopping them. Also, they kept me jittery at times, dizzy, and from time to time I'd have some mood swings. You mentioned having cravings -- when I was taking these pills, I found food disgusting. I was taking about 6 a day (which is the limit). In the last few days I started taking a few too many, and ended up throwing up anything I tried to eat. If you can use these pills CORRECTLY, they are quite effective. I'm actually considering taking them again with a healthier attitude toward them.

megan i assume the 14 next to your name is your age ... and if it is ... you really should read the labels better ... because right on the label in large print it says NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 SHALL TAKE THESE PILLS ... whats going through your mind when you take them ... oh they don't mean me? you could seriouse damage your body with these pills ... my friend died off of stacker 2 and he was 22 and in very VERY good shape

i agree with shoethug...if you are trying to be healthy by eating a sensible diet, why would you throw that all away by pumping your body full of chemicals to try to trick yourself into being full? these pills do as much, if not more damage to your body than eating the ocational cookie.

maybe you arent feeling full because you are not eating the proper foods for you. everyone is different and you may need a higher carb intake or a lower carb and higher fat or protien intake to satisfy your hunger. experiment with foods and see what meals satisfy you and which ones dont. if you eat a salad with chicken on top and feel full, you may be more of a carb type. if you are still hungry after the salad, try to eat some seeds or nuts. if that fills you up, you could work better on fats. (im talking about natural carbs and fats, not man made ones)

chemicals don't care how old you are. they damage your body at any age and prohibit you from being truly healthy.

I would suggest taking something with Hoodia. It is natural and found in African cactus. I bought some pills at Walmart that were called "The 10 Day Hoodia Diet." They also have green tea in them. The first day I took them, I think I took 2 with my lunch and they gave me tons of energy. I ran for an hour and was ready for more.. but then at the end of the day I think they made me feel a little weird from all the energy. I also had trouble falling asleep.

After that I decided to break things up and take 1 with breakfast and 1 with lunch. DEFINITELY helped. It says you can take 2 with each meal but even 2 with ONE meal was a lot for me. Sometimes it made my stomach feel a little funny, but that went away after taking 1 at a time. The Hoodia fills you up fast. I remember eating only a couple bites of my sandwich and I was full. I would get hungry but get full fast and wouldn't want to eat. Even a fruit snack made me as full as a meal normally would.

I would also suggest drinking lots of water. I find that half the time when I feel hungry, I just need more fluids. I'll drink water and not be craving things anymore. I also try to keep snacks away from me. If I have a snack, I'll pour out a serving and walk away from the bag so I don't get tempted to overeat.

I haven't been taking the Hoodia pills lately, but I probably will again. I lost 5 pounds in probably about 2 weeks (I'm 5'4" and low 120's lbs), but unfortunately I gained it back from people taking me out to eat during my birthday week a few too many times. OH, and when I stopped taking them I felt fine afterwards. It was pretty much like I went back to normal and I didn't feel sick or anything. I couldn't find them last time at the store but I found a similar one by the same brand, so hopefully it works!

I think exercising works as a natural suppressant. I also think eating 6 small meals instead of 3 larger ones help. I've taken cortislim a couple of times and it does help, but I really try to avoid appetite suppressants.

^^I also agree with the smaller meals throughout the day. If you are having a bunch of healthier meals that are like snacks, you may not want to snack after that!

you say you are eating a sensible diet...but what is your idea of sensible? you may very well not be eating enough or a big enough variety to prevent your cravings.

Hoodia MAy be Good.....but Most of the Hoodia Products out there either do not have any hoodia in them, have the wrong hoodia plant in them, or have none of the active ingredient of hoodia that supresses appetite. Thus it is very difficult to find a truly Good source of Hoodia.

I have been eating Power-Pops. They have Hoodia, Guarana, L-Tyrosine (Amino Acid), Super Citrimax, Vit B6, B12 and a small amount of corn syrup and sugar. Only 28 calories, 4 carbs, less than 2 grams of sugar. It is a lollipop that comes in great flavors. I get them by the bag of 30 with the variety flavors (root beer, cherry, cinammon, pina colado, butter pecan, etc.) I keep them with me and when I get hungry I eat 1 or 2 and then can save the majority of my calories for a healthy meal. I have been eating them for quite a few months and love them because it takes about 20 minutes to finish and the time you are done your craving is gone. I also drink water with them to activate the ingredients and nothing in there gives you the jitters. They are relatively new and not too many people know about them. I can tell you where I got them if you want to get them for yourself.
