Hey everyone!!

Well, I'm totally glad that I found this place. I have decided that I am going to heal myself from over 15 years of pain, covered up by overeating. I've ranged from being really thin when I was young (just naturally) to normal weight (only because of how crazily athletic I was in high school) to my state now (age 22), which really isn't too bad, but I'm borderline overweight....

The main thing that bothers me is just not being in control. Well, I guess I don't NEED control, but I just want to be NORMAL. You know, eat till I'm full, three times a day. I hate eating till I feel sick all the time!!!

Well, I'm excited to be here!! I think it is truly healing to be able to offer advice as well as receive it!

Love,

Mary

Just wanted to say welcome to the board. I have only been here less than a week and I find everyone to be supportive and really nice. I hope your healing process is a sane and healthy experience and if you ever need to talk just leave a note and we will be here to support you! I know how hard it is to battle weight and self-confidence issues and I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

Welcome

Hey, I wanted to say welcome to the board too! I used to be anorexic, but before I was anorexic, I used to eat a lot too, to the point where my stomach hurt. I felt so out of control, I just wanted to be able to stop myself, but I couldn't. Dont worry, you are normal, and I'm sure you have the willpower to achieve a healthy weight! With a little support and motivation you can be happy with your body. Glad that you joined the board

Welcome to the board! I wish you luck and you can always come to me for support. Food battles are so hard b/c as Tricky said drug addicts can just give up drugs altogether, but we still need food to live. It's a hard thing to give up your eating disorder but you can do it.
Lily
