Has anyone heard that caffeine can put weight on a person?

Caffine makes your retain a lot of water, so if you want to drink caffine every once and a while ( its not good for you) i would suggest drinking extra water to help move it along. or try decaf!

because caffeine gives you energy and if you look on ANY weight loss pill bottle it says "to be used WITH a healthy diet and excerise" the caffeine is to give you energy throughout the day and to excerise so you think it's actually doing something.

I drink about 72 ounces of Diet Pepsi a day and that has caffeine in it. I cannot see where it causes a gain as I am on 1200 to 1300 calories a day. I asked my doctor on this and he said as long as I have the equal amount of water and am not up all night I am OK. It gives me a high and I find it easier to lose weight.
