I've read where some of you swear by lexapro for your peri symptoms, but I was wondering if anyone here is taking cymbalta for the peri symptoms and if it is helping. Thanks!

Thanks! Sponsor cecropia 09-23-2006, 09:49 AM We must have started our threads at almost the same time. I just started one asking a similar question. I take Buspirone for my peri, but I think I'm getting really close to going into the stage where you start skipping periods. Maybe you could read my thread. It is called 14yrs. of peri-menopause. americandancer 09-23-2006, 10:58 PM I read your post. 14 years is a long time. I'm 38 and I'm really hoping I won't go through this for that long! I certainly do not have a problem taking anti-anxiety meds for the anxiety from perimenopause or whatever I'm going through, as long as it works. I was hoping maybe some had tried cymbalta and could let me know how they did. I hope the buspar works for you. I've actually skipped a few periods here and there and then they come back normal for about 5-6 months. It's so frustrating! I hope I'm just going through it early and it won't stretch out for years and years. I read in another post where someone said some think they have gone through it just fine, where really they didn't Like my mother....she may have thought she was fine, but the rest of us were dodging the bullets! lol I really don't want to do that to my kids! |
