I am looking for some advice.......... DH and I decided ttc for baby#2. I had AF Sept 3. A few days before I was ovulating I quit taking my bc pills.(past Sunday) Yesterday, I got my Af again. I am just wondering what are my chances of being pregnant since I got my Af again so soon? I know, it came because I quit taking my pills but is there a chance a could be pregnant? I just dont want to get my hopes up, for nothing if there is no chance at all.

I would honestly doubt that you are, I only say this from experience. I stopped taking my pills around that same time (of ovulating) and I too got an early period. In fact, I got another early period the next cycle. Only 2 weeks. So, don't be surprised if that happens again. I have been thinking every month that I am pregnant for 2 cycles just because I have worse PMS off from pills than on. So, that said, just be on the lookout. You may have another short cycle, or longer....and it may be completely regular for you. Pills can really mess up your cycle until it gets completely out of your system, and that is different for everyone. Good luck!:D

Thanks for the heads up. I doubted that I got pregnant, but I guess needed to hear it from someone else so not to get my hopes up for nothing. I wish you good luck as well. I dont think it should take too long for bc pills to get out of my system I only was on them for two months, so with any luck things will work out.

Yeah, I was on them for like 8 years before getting pregnant for my daughter. We got lucky...I had my AF and then we started trying and boom, I was preg. However, this time it hasn't been so easy. I was on them this time for about 2 years so we can start trying for our second. I just got really lucky the first time. Sigh. It will happen! baby dust to you.

I also doubt that you would get pregnant right after stopping bc. When you're on the pill, you don't ovulate - the pill tricks your body into thinking you're pregnant. So when you stopped the pill, it very unlikely that you would ovulate right away and even if you did, you would then get a period about 2 weeks after that. Since you got a period 1 week after stopping the pill, it is mostly likely just withdrawal bleeding from stopping the pill and not a "real period" that you would get 2 weeks after ovulating. It could take awhile for your body to regulate after stopping the pill so you maybe not start ovulating for awhile. Or you may get lucky & ovulate next month, in wish case you will have a chance of conceiving very soon. Best of luck to you!
