View Full Version : Will LPR Treatment (PPIs) Help with Excess Mucous

Hi, I have been diagnosed with LPR and my primary symptom is excess mucous. Based on what I have read, I am concerned that even if I get PPI (double dose) treatment for LPR, I still may end up having excess mucous/post-nasal drip. Does anyone know if the excess mucous will clear on PPI treatment? Thank you so much!

I've been on a single daily dose of Prevacid for probably 3 months now. I still get mucous and have not noticed a difference in that. Other things have improved like my gastritis and burning in the chest but not that mucous or feeling in the throat. I'm scheduled for PH monitoring study in a few weeks to find out more and to see if I need to double the medication.
