My friend baby was the same way I think I spent several hours on the computer and running from store to store to help her find a bigger bottle. Still have never found one. She bought a couple of extra and would fill two at a time and just give her daughter two that way she didnt have to interupt their feedings. thats about the best I can do HTH

My preemie started on Enfamil AR VERY early on due to reflux, it is thickened with rice starch. You may want to ask about this formula unless Nutrimagen is the only the only formula your baby can handle. It is thick, but not too thick. You may also want to ask about a general thickener that you can buy at the pharmacy to thicken his current formula if AR cannot be used. Hope this helps!!!

By the way, anytime I have added ANY cereal to a bottle, it has clogged in the nipple.

I had a premie and he had AR too. The ONLY formula we found that helped was AR. Sometimes we had to add more cereal though. Cutting the nipple was too much, and make him choke on the formula. A friend suggested that I put a TOOTHPICK in the nipple's hole. Then boil the nipple with the toothpick in. This helped to open the nipple "naturally" and not CUT it.

Best nipples I found were Parent's Choice.

Is your child taking any medication for the AR? Mine also had to take Zantax.

well he takes axid for reflux and is allergic to cow protine so newtramigen is the only formula he can take. we thinken it up with rice cereal. but its a pain using two bottles. he still only sleps 3 hours a night and naps all day off and on. he also has a hernia. so poor man has got alot of belly issues...
