I've not been feeling well. I've been to a number of doctors, but none of them seem to know what is going on -- I've got some kind of infection but that can't find it. Now I've noticed that I have these marks, like someone has pinched each finger nail with some kind of pliers (crimp marks) -- they are horizontal, they are not white, just marked. The doctors never have looked at my finger nails. Does anyone know what this could be? Should I be worried?

Is there any discoloration either in the depressions or the ridges of the nails?

Not really. They are a little darker under the mark and a little lighter above the mark. If you press down on your finger tips, above the line white, below, stays pink. Almost like they were pinched somehow, but I didn't pinch them.
