Just curious if anyone has any tips on coping with flying... Travelling is one of my passions & I used to do it all the time, but since my current battle with anxiety, I am extremely fearful of boarding a plane... "Crazy"! Thanks for any ideas & I wish you all the best!

I used to love flying, but now I won't. I hope someone can give you some tips. I know a lady my husband works with takes Xanax before flying and that is the only time she uses that medication.

I agree xanax is a god sent for flying! I wouldn't fly without it.. You must take it at least 1/2 hour before boarding.. I am petrified to fly and have claustrophobia feelings on plane's, but xanax helped all the feelings disappear :) ask you Doctor they usually have no problem giving a script for a few to fly. Good Luck

You are very welcome! I would take a dose a few days before your trip to see how your body reacts first. Which shouldn't be anything more than some sleepiness  As I metioned before I'd NEVER fly without it..Good Luck:)

Hi!

I used to have anxiety/panic disorder (heck, I probably still have it).

But I also have a kind of fear of flying, I can fly but it makes me very uncomfy. Ive not heard of Xanax... what is it? Can you get it in the UK?

Thanks again Boxer! Maybe I should see if my doc will give me a portable IV drip of xanax to deal with this every day... It's either that or a lobotomy! Jokin, of course... I'll let ya know how it goes... All the best!
