Hello to all. This is my first time to post on this board, so I thought I would tell a little about our situation. I am a single mom of two wonderful children. My 3 year old daughter is typical and my 7 year old son has autism. So, we have been dealing with autism for about 6 years now. I am finding myself with a lot of questions, sleepless nights, and exhausting days. Recently, my sons behavior has became very aggressive and disruptive. He is very big for his age, at 97 lbs and almost 5 ft. tall , you can imagine it is a difficult task to restrain him There are many, many problems at school and also at home. School is my main concern at the moment. Now that my intro. is out there, I hope to hear from all of you...I do need the support

Hi first timer!!

Welcome to the club. Everyone here is dealing with autism in some capacity, and you will quickly find this to be a vey supportive group. Please feel free to ask questions, vent, or share your victories, big or small with us. Tyher's a pretty regular group of members here, and I've found this board to be wonderful.

I'll tell you a bit about me. I have a 3-year-old boy named Liam, who is autistic and a 1-year-old girl named Kaya who is typical. My son is also a very big kid, and we've been dealing with aggression issues lately, as well.

Good luck to you and your kids, and I'm sure we'll hear more forom you soon. Try looking over the old posts. They can be really relevent to current situations.

Hi, my 4yr old son is autistic, and very tall for his age, too. At his most recent Dr.'s apt, he was 45lbs & 42" tall. He already wears size 5-6x, depending on the store. His pediatrician says he's in the 90th percentile for his age. My question is this: are a lot of ASD kids large for their ages?

Hello,
Looks like a pattern here, I have 2 sons 8 typical and 9 PDD-NOS also a very large boy 5'2" 110#(always been 95% to off the chart), we also have some problems in school, was throwing away papers he didn't want to do, that stopped. But of course there are still other problems.
So believe me your not alone, but since you've been on this site, you know that by now. Everyone here is sooo helpful.

I suspect I have Asperger's, but I was always small for my age. I am just 5' 1".
