He was diagnosed in June. He recieves ST but we're supposed to be meeting with an OT. They wouldn't give him PT when they evaluated him, even though at 19 mo he wasn't walking. I took him to chiropractor for several months (daily) and eventually he walked.

He has epilepsy, takes Keppra. Lots of medicine allergies, and reacted to peanuts and shellfish although his allergy tests came back normal. I am still confused about that.

Found out I'm preg- almost 9 weeks. What are my chances of having another autistic child, not that it matters- but just wondered. All tests are normal, nothing can explain the autism OR the epilepsy, except slow brain waves in left side of his head.

Hello and welcome! I don't know specific numbers, but do know that if you have a child with autism your other children have a higher risk of having it too. I have 3 yr. old fraternal twins who both have autism while their 6 yr. old brother does not (although he does have some sensory issues). Good luck with the therapy for your 2 yr. old and with your pregnancy.

Ok thanks for the reply!

My dr is really considering putting me on high risk, and having some additional testing ran while I am pregnant. I'd rather be safe than sorry, so that's not a big deal with me.

I have a typically functioning 6 yr old, a 5 yr old on the spectrum and was 1 month pregnant when the diagnosis came. Last I heard it was a 10% chance of baby #3 having autism. He's 18 months old and doesn't talk yet but his eye contact is excellent and he's very interractive w/ everyone so I'm hoping..... !!!!

I'm definitely going to get him evaluated soon....
-Take care and congratulations!!
