Your family doctor can diagnose and refer you to a neurologist.

Parkinson's disease is not heriditary.

my lst symptom was drooling on my pillow at night, then a trembling left arm. After 6 years i have waxy scalp, red facial skin, sometimes minor stutter and hesitation finding the right word.
occasional cramp, i have fallen 6 times so i watch my step and pay attention not to drop what i pick up.

PD is progressive but not the same for everyone. Google parkinson's disease and read the internet, this site, and free information from associations.

life is different but can still be good. i am impressed by a contributor who wrote with parkinsons you can still love and be loved.

[]I too drool on the pillow it has progressed to a litle drooling while awake as if i am getting lazy swallowing, i have only fallen twice, my hand writing has gotten bad because of a tremor in my left hand, i guess, I havent had any taste/smell since January .and a variety of other symptoms , the stuttering and slurring really bother me because it is so noticable. My dr is referring me to a neurologist
