Hi,
Caffeine raises my blood pressure in 2 hours by 20 to 30 points although it's a diuretic. How? I really don't know but I will never drink anything contains caffeine again.

I had the same issue with caffeine. Raises BP by about 20-30 points.
I went caffeine free for about 5 months but now will have weak tea in the morning if I'm really out of it (travel across time zones a lot). Also, decaf coffee still has a small amount of caffeine so watch intake.

I , like everybody, have READ frequently that coffee and tea were diuretics. I have never found that to be particularly true. My morning coffee (42 ounces) has never seemed to make me pee out anywhere near even that 42 ounces much less even more (as a diuretic would.)
So if caffeine is a diuretic it is a weak one compared with Lasix or HCTZ and thus wouldn't lower BP much. In fact, for most people too much caffeine is a net raiser of blood pressure.
