My husband has tried Levadopa and Requip. Both make him SO sleepy and he doesn't seem to build up any resistance to it. He's got leg cramping so he's trying the Requip. Levadopa gives him nausea and sleepiness. So far, the
Requip does not make him nauseated, but it does make him very sleepy. The leg
cramps are still around, but he's only been on requip for a week. Also, does
anyone have lightheadedness from either the PD or the medication? Thanks.

Hi,
I do not have Parkinsons, but my dad does. He takes carbidopa/levadopa and does not have any side effects, but has been on it a long time. We believe it is helping him to just stay the same.
I take requip for restless legs. Different people take it for different reasons. And they take different dosages. I just got raised to 10 mg pill at noon and 10 mg about 1 hour before bedtime. It works. I do not think that it makes me any sleepier than my other pills do.
Sorry that I cannot be of more help.
