Hello,

How big is "big" to have a lymph node biopsied? I ask this because I have been having trouble with my ear and jaw on the left side (TMJ is suspected). I noticed a bump directly in front of my earlobe on the same side that the TMJ is suspected. I did have my ENT examine it and he said in was < 1 cm so he was not overly concerned but did say to keep an eye on it. This was 3 weeks ago today. The bump is still there and I know I should not be toughing it all of the time-but it is hard not to. The bump though is not any bigger. What are any thoughts from this board? (I am a little nervous) :confused:

Is it above the skin or below the skin...I am asking if it is like a mosquito bite or underneath your skin like most other lymph nodes...

It is under the skin. If you ran your finger over the area you could only feel it by pushing down.

get another oppinion!!!! I had a small knot infront of my ear above the jaw and 2 dr's ( PCP and Rheumatologist ) both tell me not to worry about it.. fortunately my dentist didnt feel that way.. had a FNA ( fine needle aspiration) which came back begnin and then the removed the knot and I had Difuse Large B Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma!! Luckily it was stage 1 and I did 4 rounds of Chemo and 20 days of Radiation... so please check it out !!!!

Did you have any symptoms that would make you think you may have lymphoma? Also, how long did you have the knot?

You are always so kind, and nice to others, like many of the others who have gotten into a small group and regularly ask about one another.

Please do not worry about your lymph nodes, believe me I wish I hadn't.(lol)
