Allright promise this will be the last question for now...when you have a swollen lymph node in the neck area, does it present itself kind of like a mosquito bite, elevated at the skin...or is it more like under the skin with bump...just a thought...thanks again in advance...

anyone??

I am just wondering if it looks like a mosquito bit, a little white bump on top of the skin or can you only feel it under the skin??

Well I am going to start rambling again, after the CT Biopsy did nothing as far as a diagnosis because they did not get a good sample I was confident it was nothing major down there because there have been no more growth in size to the mass...well today I noticed that I had what looked like a mosquito bite below the ear right about the jaw line. Put some alcohol on in which usually makes it disappear but this kinda stuck around...made an appointment to the ENT, he did some feeling around and said it was really nothing to worry about, he actually did not think it was serious even if it was a lymph node...that's why I ask the question...he told me to come back in 2 weeks if it is still there then we can talk about a biopsy if I choose....Why is this happening to me, I was just getting over everything and now I am stressing again...

Can you please let me know what your kneck nodes look like when the swell, I am hoping they stay under the skin...My god time for some more anxiety medicine!

HI Ash

I wouldn't worry. Keep your hands off of it. Probably a stress pimple coming out. Wash it real good with soap and water. Keep it dry. Don't lay on that side.
But back to your question.
My lymph nodes where under the skin. like under tissue too. Never on suface.
Could be a small cyst. Then I would hot compress it.

Take care

Thanks Becky...you know I am almost starting to wonder if I am getting some hives, only a few on my face from other reasons such as allergies....I never used to get these prior to quitting smoking and now all of a sudden I get them every now and then, might be allergic to something in the house....like for example to cat..I have an appointment with the allergist on Monday morning to discuss...I never used to get hives and now a break out...also have other allergy related symptoms such as runny nose, scratchy throat, red/itchy eyes, etc...

I was going to say I really have no symptoms of Lymphoma which I keep trying to convince myself of, but then again still have that mass in the abdomen area that is is on my mind when stuff like this happens...I guess the good thing is I just had a abdominal and chest and head CT Scan less than 2 weeks ago and everything looked OK, guess I can wait a few days and see what happens...

I am sure stress is not helping...I should mention that when I take Benadryl the bumps and hives seem to go away...thats why I am leaning toward allergies...

Hi

My brother in law was diagnosed about 6 years or so ago with CLL. He had an enlarged lymph node in his neck under his jaw. It was big and under the skin for sure, not on the surface. At the risk of sounding like a crazy person, I would say it looked like an egg (maybe a little smaller) but definitely under his skin. It was there for over a month and did not go down. DIdn't cause him pain but did not shrink either.

I hope all is well with you.
