Hey Deenah
Hmmmm, well as you most likely know there are different types of bipolar.
and for some that can change over time, mine did. I think it depends on what comes with the mania. What specifically are you refering to? K

You know that feeling... The one where you just feel it coming on!!! I think it's the most basic feeling

Ah yes, often that a warning I havent been getting enough rest, eating, well, skipped a couple of doses. So that's the first thing I do is try to redirect any mania. Even if I have to take benedryl to get extra rest.
I dont have any friends that I can call, so I come here and start talking
reading posting. Some how it keeps me focused. If irritability is a factor
then I have lorazapam on hand if needed. I tend to want to isolate myself
but that's the worst thing to do. Get out and do something. That's about all I can think of momentarily. If there's any other questions you have just ask. AOK? K

I don't usually realize I'm manic (or hypomanic) until I'm not manic anymore. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. In the midst of everything I can't pinpoint all the symptoms for being what they are, mostly because I enjoy them. I'm trying to learn the early signs so I can recognize these moods before it gets out of control.
