View Full Version : How Common Are BP Spikes

I have monitored my b/p for the entire week. I have had excellent readings. However tonight and on other occasions, for no apparent reason, my bp soars to really high numbers, like 170/106 and tonight it's with a pulse of about 82. I am wondering if this is usual for many or wondering if I really have some sort of disorder. The elevation stays for a few hours and then goes right back down to normal. With the elevation I feel warm inside but no headache, or other aches and pains. Can you identify? Or shed some light as to whether this is an occurrence that doesn't need to be checked out- for it goes and comes, without much of a deal, except it unnerves me when I see the high numbers. by the way 2.5 mg of xanax helps.

Lola, your pulse is fine at 82. I hope you meant .25 Xanax. LOL Didn't you say you were on Clonodine? That should bring it down in a half hour they told me.
