Hello
I posted a thread earily about too much sleep, and got some interesting suggestions.
Monday I go see my neuro reguarding options for my future. Whether or not to have another surgery on my L2-L5 area because of non fusion. I'm am currently taking Kadian for pain with vicodin as a pain breaker. I here so many good things on the patch and I'm going to ask my doctor about it. I really didn't get enough feedback from you guys. I would appreciate alittle help if you can. I do have 50mg patches, and have used them 5 times, without the Kadian. Had too much pain. My Kadian 50mg twice a day seems to do the trick. Is the patch better for you mentally and physcially for you then taken Morphine. I took Oxicotine for 21/2years and know that it is hard to get off of. I heard Kadian is much easier. So they say. Anyways, hope to hear from some of you before Monday.
Have a great weekend
Tim

If the kadian is working for you and you like it, how come you want to switch to the patch? Just curious. I think you will need to just see how an increase in the patch does for you. The bottom line is you have to work with your Dr on this one, No one can really guide you and tell you what will work for you, every one is different and for some people the patch works great and for others it doesn' help there pain.
Only your body can tell you what is right for you. try an increase and go from there.

The Kadian is working for me with the exception of several dream per night. I haven't gotten a good night sleep since taking Kadian. About 6 months. Also, someone posted a thread about the patch. Says that it is not morphine base and is a better pain reliever. Really don't know much about the patch except what I read on the net. Also, I take a handful of pills twice a day, very depressing. I'm like a walking pharmacy, if you know what I mean. First time I saw my PM dr. I told him that my goal was to get off of all med's. After seeing him a couple of times, and after taking a couple test, he told me that there was nothing that could be done for me, so I had two choices, Be in pain, or take medication. What a choice!!!! Not much of a brainer!! Anyway, I appreciate your suggestions. Monday, I meet with my neuro surgeon and will see what he suggest.
Thank you soo much
