My regular doctor has been gone for a while on maternity leave, so I went to another one..... He was GREAT and I had tirgger point injections w/o the steroids and just some of the numbing stuff.... not AT ALL BAD like the steroids or painful and stiff afterwards.... He did mention acupunture and recommend this... Has anyone tried this? It is expensive and my insurance won't cover it. Thanks for everyone's help!

i too am very interested in trying accupuncture. Its expensive so if any one has any feedback on it that will be great
Thanks
I successfully use acupuncture for pain. It was recommended by a friend who has had fibro for over a decade. She cautioned that it took her about 6 weeks (going once a week) before she noticed a difference in pain. For me, it was more like 3 weeks.
It does not help with fatigue--it is for pain management. I have been going for about 3 months and go once a week. My acupuncturist said that soon I'll be on a maintainence schedule and go once a month.
I am very lucky because my insurance pays for it.
Best of luck,
Lu
