I feel like I'm complaining all the time, focusing on bad things like how I've screwed up here and there and didn't do as well as I think I should've. I was just thinking that maybe we should list the good things that have happened lately, whether it relates to ED or not. Mine are:

1. I looked at diet pills at WalMart and didn't buy any. :)
2. I avoided junk food all day. That's a first in a long time. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wow.gif
3. I got to go on vacation last weekend. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/cool.gif
4. I got a call from a publisher. (I'm trying to break into the fiction market, so this is a really, really good thing) :D
5. I didn't have to work today, so I got to go shopping, which was fun, and I get to hang out w/friends tonight. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/clown.gif

Hey there! I've done this before, and you're right, it really does help to focus on the positive. Here's mine:
1. So far today, no bingeing!!!!! (1st day in over a week!)
2. I am very upbeat about my recovery. I'm taking some new med that is working well, and I got a light box (to exper. with SAD)
3. I am doing better with thinking positive
4. Hmmm, let's see... I am sore from lifting weights yesterday (I got some exercise)
5. The weather is still warm here which is really rare, but I love it!

PS, you're a writer lissa?! That is so cool! I want to be a writer soon! Keep me posted on how things go, ok? :)

Glad to know life is good in your parts of the world. I tornado ripped through here last night, but I don't think it caused much damage. It missed my community by a few miles. So that's good, and I don't think anyone was hurt.

Plus, I only purged once today (if you consider laxatives purging...it seems so weenie compared to vomiting). I wanted to a second time, but I didn't. :) And I still can't make myself throw up, so that's good, too, though it pretty darn disappointing when I try...

As for writing, this is so cool! I can't believe you guys are into it, too! Anyway, I've been published :D , but only freelance, and I'd really like to write a novel. I guess they're hard to sell, though. I don't really get emotional, per se, and I LOVE mysteries and thrillers. If you guys are looking to get published, I recommend checking out a Writer's Market book. They've got 'em for nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. You should be able to find one in the reference section at the local bookstore, or go to Amazon.com. There's a ton of writing info there.

I've never done this before, so I thought I'd try.

1) I went for a long run today, which made me feel happier.
2) Summer's finally here! (I really hate winter).
3) Only another month and I'll have all my School Cert. exams over with. I can't wait!!! Then, holidays!!!
4) My best friend seems happier again.
5) I have plans to go out somewhere with my friends tomorrow night.

How was that?

firstly, thanks lissa for telling me abt the publisher. Secondly ashly, that's great that at least some things are going well, and thirdly, I just think it's funny that summer is here for you cuz now it's getting colder here, towards winter, it's so cool the way God made nature work. Wait, so do you now have summer vacation? are you done with school now? fill me in, k?
Luv u lots, http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif

Hi Rachel.
I know, it's wierd isn't it? Having christmas in the summer, I mean, I've lived here all my life and I still don't think it's right!
No, unfortunately, I still have about a month of school left, and then I only have to go back for my exams. Then I finally get about a 8 or 9 week holiday over christmas and I never have to do the 5th form again!
What about you? Do you have holidays soon too? I'm just curious, that's all.
Ashlee
