Okay, I wrote about how good I felt on my new meds, lamictal and Geodon, off the paxil on the 26th. Well all of a sudden I am sleeping late in am again, crying and feel sad for what ever reasons. Can anyone tell me is it because I went off the paxil? Is it temporary? Just withdrawls from the paxil? I don't like this. Yes, I have a stresser right now. My husband hasn't been working and it's been tuff and he has a wonderful interview on tues. that looks like a good chance of getting it. Praying hard for it. Someone tell me about this and the meds....PLEASE

Hi:wave: It is usually slower on the weekends but I just wanted to say hello and welcome you.

I have a daughter who was just diagnosed and we are trying to get her meds adjusted which is the hardest part of all of this.;)

I would say that any med adjustment takes a few weeks to level things off. Did they slowly take you off the Paxil??? Some meds you shouldn't just stop and I am not sure if Paxil is one of them. I guess if they slowly got you on it they should do the same when getting you off of it.

Have they made any adjustments with the other meds??? I know with the Lamictal (which my daughter is on) when there is any adjustment there will be increased irritability and anxiety for the first few days which eventually levels off.

So I would say to hang in there....it may take some time to feel okay but if this persists a call into your pdoc may be warranted. The stress could also be a part of how you are feeling and I do hope things work out with your husband's interview on Tuesday. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you on that one.

Hopefully some others here will be more familiar with the Paxil to offer you some more insight on things.

Good luck ~ Goody:angel:
