Hello all,
A little info on me first. I have spinal nerve pain, and suffer from depression from being in pain for so long.
I have been on Oxycontin 10mg 3X daily for pain for about 18mths. I am VERY concerned about the tylenol in the med, doing damage to my kidney's and any thing else that it can damage.
I was wondering if I should ask my family doc to send me to a pain management clinic to see if there are other options. I am in pain, 24/7
Any suggestions from the group would be greatly appreciated.
Karen

there is no tylenol in oxycontin
if you are taking percocet which is oxycodone w/apap you are fine with the amt you are taking.
You could get a physical and get your liver checked annually just to be safe.

OxyContin is a long acting, extended release version of Oxycodone.
Oxycodone is also available as a short acting med with or without Tylenol.
Oxycodone with Tylenol is called Percocet.
Oxycodone without Tylenol is called Oxy IR or Roxicodone.
