Does anyone ever notice your pvc's being different, or occuring sometimes when you lie down a certain way? I'm just wondering. I was diagnosed a few years ago, and they actually don't occur all the time; mostly when I don't get enough excercise. I notice that they happen more frequently when I lie down flat on my back. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, when I had PVC's alot of times they would start when I was lying down and especially if I were on my side. I always thought that was strange.

Hi there, I also think there may be something in what you say, for some strange reason when I lie on my left side only, my chances of having pvc's are much higher. Although I have to say , since cutting out coffee (cold turkey) things have improved vastly, to the point where I am back to having only 2-3 per day, cheers.

Strange indeed. I have gone several days...(knock on wood) with none to speak of....then I will turn around and have them several days and they will drive me mad. I am right now wearing a 30 day monitor, had an echo last week and 2 abnormal EKGs. Lying down.....I think I am more aware of them, because everything is still and quiet.

they occur way more frequently lying on my left side compared to my right. I almost always go to sleep now on my right side. my back is hit or miss... sometimes more on my back sometimes not. but the left side is by far the worse side.

Here's another thing that has just been occuring regularly recently. I usually exercise after work, so i don't get PVC's that night or as i sleep (sometimes just a few).. and when i wake up i have none... but now every time i get up to grab water or whatever and then hop back in bed and lie down again BAM -- off to the races. It usually causes me to just get up and get to work but it seems wierd the fact that just getting out of bed and back in is enough to start them like that.

I'm so glad to hear that people have the same experience as I do. I, however, have more trouble when I lie on my right side. On my back is no good. I also do much better after exercising a lot. Cutting caffeine helps everything! I remember when I found out I had them. I was in college, doing student teaching, drinking wayyyyyy tooo much caffeine. I went to the University hospital (which is fab) and saw a leading heart specialist. She did all the tests, said to exercise and cut out caffeine. All those things work, but sometimes if I don't get enough exercise, they start up again. I've also started taking magnesium and that has seemed to improve them too.
