Every once in a while I feel these twinges, shock sensation, surges in my head and in my nerve endings. Sometimes they last for days. I can't think or do much of anything as it interferes. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is and why.

hi there,

can't say I notice twinges. I have sort of shock moments, but that's just the alertness I have, i think.

I get the nerve twinges in my arms, hands, legs and feet. It frequently keeps me from sleeping and it just drives me crazy. I've been to see a neurologist and had nerve conduction tests, which are no fun at all. They say I have peripheral neuropathy. The doctors don't offer any help or any way to relieve the twinges. I just have to put up with it, but sometimes it is more than I can deal with. It is especially difficult after several sleepless nights.

I'm not sure if I expereince the same things, but I expereince something similar. Several times throughout the day my head does something really weird. I don't even know how to really describe it, but it feels like it is moving on it's own almost like a shiver. On occasion it makes me whole body shiver/twitch. It's not continual shivers or twitches but more like one big one. I also don't know what it is or why it happens but would definately be interested in knowing more about it!

I am very familiar with the twinges. For me, they started when I asked to be taken off of Lexapro and was prescribed Wellbutrin.

It feels like my body jumps forward in time for a split second and then my mind catches up to it. A very surreal feeling.

I have also felt the shocks go down my arms during these twinges as well.

wagon daddy, I also get that jump ahead feeling. What is up with that? I still get it sometimes and it seems to happen at times when I'm really worked up. but doesn't always. It is a very odd thing indeed.
