hope someone can help, will try and be as polite as I can, when emptying my bowel all is fine except that I cannot seem to empy my bowel in one movement, I can feel that I want to empty completely but am unable to, then about 1hour later I have to empty again and normaly that is it job complete. This never use to happen I would empty in one go has anyone got the answer? bowel movement is normal no constipation and no pain just cannot empty in one movement

This happens with me sometimes. It is mostly in the morning, before and after breakfast. Although I find it so to say unpleasant, I wouldn't really bother about it if and especially if there is no pain, no diarrhea, no discomfort other than the need to go a second time. Maybe there is some emotional or stress issue behind it. Even if you have no constipation, maybe you need some more fiber in your diet (metamucil? flaxseed oil?). Anyway, did any major change in your life or diet take place just before this new condition first appeared?

Spastic bowel is now what is referred to as IBS. years ago they used the term spastic bowel but due to the nature of the word they changed it.
