Its been a while since I posted on here. I'm a full time college student in my senior year and I have definitly been slacking. I'm not motivated. Just really don't care. I used to be afraid of throwing it all away but I'm not even concerned about that anymore. I'm going to classes and workstudy, I can say that much. But I just do the minimal amount that I need to do to get by. I usually just sit there and stare and don't participate.

I'm currently on Prozac 40mg/day. I used to be on Lamictal as well but stopped taking that about a month ago because my insurance ran out. I've also been having nightmares. It seems as if the only time I want to do anything at all or feel motivated is when I've been drinking and am tipsy. I'm concerned that this will become a problem.

Does anyone know that if you should take prozac at any certain time of the day? Is it better to take it in the morning? I've been having bad nights. I usually just lay there and feel like crying but can't. I need to get out of this funk.

Thanks for listening,
-D

Hey, sorry to hear you're in a slump. That's rough. How long have you been at 40 mg? Maybe you just need an increase? I'm on Prozac 40 mg as well. I take mine in the morning because it doesn't make me tired. If it makes you tired, then definitely take it a night. But, always take it at the same time everyday. Also, alcohol is a depressant and counters the effectiveness of antidepressants.

Thanks for the reply. I think you're right about increasing my dosage. I haven't been to the psych doc for about a year. I moved recently and haven't found anyone in my area. I guess I'll have to stop putting it off.

Thanks Again,
-D
