I've been looking at past threads on Zoloft and SSRI withdrawal because I think I'm going through it right now. I lowered my Zoloft because my therapist suggested I might have apathy from being on it so long - more than 4 years. I wasn't depressed, I just didn't care anymore. I can't explain the difference. I think she was right. I went from 50 mg to 37 1/2 for a week and started to feel better. I was less apathetic and started to have some feelings again. So I lowered it a little more to 31 1/4. Since then (5 days ago) I've been in a complete fog. I'm always tired and I have strange vivid dreams. It sounds like, from these boards, that this is normal. Is it? Am I going off too fast? How long am I going to stay in a fog?

I'm going to say this is normal, but i am NO dr... so my best advice for you is to ask your dr, how he/she wants you drop down!

I had a VERY hard time coming down off of effexor, So ican sympathize with you

Good luck and take it slow!

Thanks Steve. I am talking to my doctor, but she had suggested going down faster than I am. She's okay with me going slower though. The hardest part for me is this brain fog. It feels like I'll never be able to think again.
