That's too broad of a question to really answer. Do ACE Inhibitors have side effects? Yes. Some are severe (allergic reactions). Some make them unworkable (for those who get a cough from ACE Inhibitors).

ACE Inhibitors have been in use for years and many have great success with them. I would recommend hitting your favorite search site and doing some research so that you can make your own decision on whether they are right for you. The search string of "ACE Inhibitors side effects" should do the trick. Some of the major health sites also have very good info on the various classes of BP meds.

And even if they seem right for you, no guarantee that they will actually work to control your BP. Each case is different. There is no magic pill with no side effects.

Thank you all for your information. Seems I get more information and insight here on this Board than at the Doctor's office.

Any drug you look up will have some bad things said about it. Ace inhibitors are one of the safest BP meds and like someone said have been around for a very long time. I feel safer taking them than any of the new stuff.
