View Full Version : What the hell is going on?

Hello all, I'll try to keep this short.

I've had the same pain in the same spot for a year now after returning back from Mexico. I was in the ER a week after I was back and the doc said "your intestines are swollen, you have a virus, it'll go away". So here we are, a year later, same pain. It's an inch above my belly botton. And it's an achy pain that has been in the same spot for a year.

I got a colonoscopy, that was normal. That was about 7 months ago. I also have other conditons; chronic constipation has been going on for about 8 months now. I have mucus and blood in my hard, dry stools. I also have some alien looking matter that comes out sometimes. White, big matter with veins in it. I have taken pictures in hopes that when I get insurance again I can bring it to a doctor. (sorry so graphic) I brought a stool sample to the doc that was doing my colonoscopy and he said that they didn't need it and threw it away. I was pissed because this matter and mucus stuff is only getting worse.

So, I've read around on this board and see that others are going threw the same type of syptoms with no explaintions. I'm so FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!! I know that something is wrong with me but don't know what.

Since I've been back from Mexico I've taken some doses of amoxillian so I don't have worms or parasites, which some of my friends suggested that may be the problem.

Other conditions:
Fibromyalgia
Intercycstial Cystitis
IBS
TMJ
Migraines
chronic neck and back pain

Does anyone have an advice for me? I don't have anyone else to talk to. My boyfriend is tired of hearing about it and I don't have insurance.

Thanks so much,
LeahLove

Leah,
Chronic constipation can cause abdominal pain, what are you doing for the constipation? I would imagine that you are taking alot of pain medication with your other diagnoses. Pain meds are very constipating.
I would suggest that you work on your constipation by drinking alot of warm fluids like teas or soups. Include warmed prune juice daily , warm liquids help to move things along. Make sure you are drinking at least 6 to 8 glasses of water daily, to keep the bowels hydrated. You should consider having bran cereal daily and eat fruit too.
I think if you are able to take care of your constipation, your other symptoms should decrease or maybe go away completely.
