HRH 10-05-2006, 09:44 AM Has anyone had their gallbladder removed that had diabetes? Have you had any problems? ICC 10-05-2006, 01:31 PM i have diet controlled type 2. had my gallbladder out about 18 mos. ago. piece of cake. took me about a month to totally recuperate as some have said it took them only a couple of days. don't know if the diabetes has anything to do with that but the surgery was a breeze. best of luck to you.:) Meme2x 10-05-2006, 08:55 PM I had my gallbladder removed in Dec. 2004. I took longer to recuperate and have often wondered if the diabetes played a role in that. A co-worker returned to work 4 days after her surgery (she is not a diabetic). Let me say this, the extended time to recuperate was much better than the horrible 2 years of pain leading up to the surgery! |
