When I first started taking Levora for birth control, I gained about 15 pounds. It's been a while and I wantd to know if it hinders weight loss as well. I have had an extremly hard time taking weight off lately, and I don't lke it!!! Please help!

The pill can make you gain weight in 3 ways - It can increase your appetite, slow your metabolism down and cause water retention. Even if i don't eat anymore than i do off the pill, i always gain up to 7lbs when i take a certain pill.

im on microgynon and when i first started taking it about 3months ago i gained a little weight, and has been fluctuating since. i've just been advised to carry on eating well, steer clear from fast food (as this along with the pill can cause acne), not too much chocolate and cakes and things and take the time to do that little bit more exercise than you normally would. i joined a gym recently and have lost 7lbs in a week and im not overweight anyway. hope this may have helped...
